Hot on the heels of Wednesday‘s Eyecatchers installment, here’s another shot I took of an art installation in Vancouver, B.C.
Quite a different face than Wednesday’s, this is a close-up of a sculpture, located in Yaletown Park, titled Eros Bendato Scripolato by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj.
It’s impossible to get an idea of the scale of the piece from this photo, but I love the texture, color, and moodiness of this composition.
Oh, and I guess I should mention that I messed around with the orientation, too!

Very surreal looking.
Yeah, it’s not everyday you see a giant disembodied head in a small, neighborhood park.

Wow. I’m going to have to get some better camera equipment one of these days & make a trip up to Vancouver!
You know, all I’m using is an iPhone 4, along with a few apps for editing.
It may only be a 5 megapixel camera, but I think it takes great shots, and, this is key, I always have it with me!
amazing how much emotion can be caught in an inanimate object…
It’s funny, isn’t it, how there is emotion to this piece, even though the face is pretty much expressionless.
