Where’s the mainstream media on this story?
2,000 courageous Americans have committed to be arrested in a civil disobedience, non-violent protest of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline that would transport tar sands oil from Alberta, Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast. The protests consist of daily sit-ins at the White House, planned to persist for two weeks.
As of day three:

162 Americans arrested at the White House in three days of protests, and nothing on the Home pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, CNN, MSNBC, FoxNews. I know that the news from Libya is the undisputed top story, but nothing on the Home page at all?
To be fair, the Times editorial board did come out against the pipeline, but it’s buried in the Opinion pages.
In the meantime, I am deeply grateful for the selfless efforts of all the men and women who are able to go to Washington, D.C. in order to stand up against a devastating assault on our planet.
