LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these!
This Upcycling installment comes via T.O.M.T. (aka The Other Man’s Treasures), and I can’t recommend highly enough taking the time to browse through their website for some fantastic furniture and lighting ideas.
I know I’ll be keeping an eye out for a vintage suitcase and some screw-on legs, as I browse the thrift stores that are increasingly becoming a resource for great upcycling ideas.
So cool! I have an old wooden “suitcase” off the back of an old horse and buggy sleigh that I was thinking about turning into o coffee table. I was thinking industrial style wheels though…
Ooh! From a horse-pulled sleigh?! Cool!
Yeah, wheels would be great for a coffee table, cuz it can be lower to the ground than these end tables.
You definitely should do it and post photos!
wow! what a fantastic idea!
love them too!
Hmmm doesn’t do it for me and I thought I was sooo cool ! obviously not 😉
Oh Hellen! You’re still cool in my eyes!
Too kind F&B…too kind 😉
Hi gaylespaintings and trialsinfood! Thanks for stopping by!
I had to come check these out again on my laptop. Those are way cool!!!
Yeah, aren’t they? As I said, I’m hoping to make one of these, but I fear that finding a vintage suitcase in good shape will come with a hefty price tag.
These are sooo cool! I would go for the white one
So cool!! Those would be topped nicely with one of these super cool upcycled vases from Hipcycle: http://hipcycle.com/housewares/vases.html
what a great idea, my wife has been wanting a storage ottoman and we haven’t found a piece that we liked yet. This actually might be much more fun and I just just use shorter legs for a ottoman/coffee table height.
